Weight loss is a battle for many, many people. There are so many schools of thought and so many fad diets - which program do you go with? You will quickly see how the two of these things start working together - and that on its own becomes great motivation. You will find yourself adding more exercise and moderating your diet better and better. A lifestyle change isn't easy at first, but it IS achievable with a little effort. Start slow - developing even one or two healthier habits makes a noticeable difference - then make further changes as you get used to these new habits.
The last thing to mention is proper frame of mind. Remember you are doing this for your health and the well being of your family. This is all achievable, and you have to want it.
