All of the meals in my home are cooked from scratch with real food. When I discuss what I eat and how it is cooked many are really surprised that it is all real food, mostly from the farm. What I have found in the journey of gluten free living is sometimes a simple ingredient that we might overlook can be the cause of poor feelings after a meal. Have you found that? It is always the little things that will cause the big challenges. For example: adding spices that might include gluten, condiments that have gluten or simply a food that you have not realized you are sensitive to.
Over the past few weeks I have started to eliminate some of the ingredients that I really do enjoy, like garlic and onions. I can not tell you specifically why not eating these ingredients is helping me to feel better but they are! So much better it is amazing and I am grateful!
I have also found that eating real food at home is a big, big helper in the feeling so much more vibrant. So much so that I have found a great joy in eating at home. It seems to me when finding that place where you have joy in your meals everything seems better!
A meal we had the other day that has some awesome flavors, pork tenderloin with gluten free spices (tumeric, paprika and cayanne pepper), almost french fries and baby bok choy. Now remember it is really important to eat organic whenever possible especially white potato, and bok choy. Your meats are best pastured and grass fed.

We have found using spices that are gluten free, organic veggie/fruits and pastured and/or wild proteins have made life so much easier. So if you are like me and had challenges with gluten free eating making some of those small changes might make all the difference for as they have for us!
